The per participant flat rate premium for single-employer defined benefit plans for the 2009 plan year is $34.00 (up from $33 for the 2008 plan year). The rate for multiemployer plans remains unchanged at $9.00. By law, the premiums are adjusted for inflation each year based on changes in the national average wage index.
